“I have a dream,” said Martin Luther King, “that someday, there will be a monthly live philosophy event, which will be held each month above a pub in London.
“And each month it will have a different theme, and people will go and have a few drinks and leave feeling both enlightened and probably a bit tipsy. And it will be called STAND-UP PHILOSOPHY.”
And so it is that this month, in honour of that great man – and by virtue of the fact that we all like a bit of a nap once in a while – that our theme is ‘Sleeping and Dreaming’.
What does sleeping mean to us? Is it really good to hope for our dreams to become reality? And why is bed so much more comfy when you really, REALLY have to get up?
